The Directorate of Printing, Stationery, and Publication, Odisha established at Cuttack in the year 1936 is a vast organization of the State of Odisha which aims to meet the printing needs of all Government Offices. To get the jobs in a more streamlined way and to cope up with the heavy workload it has nine (9) branch presses established at Bhubaneswar, Khandapada, Chhatrapur, Deogarh, Balangir, Keonjhar, Bhawanipatna, and Berhampur. Besides, a School of Printing and Allied Trades, established in the year 1955 in the Directorate premises imparts basic training to the apprentices in different trades of printing technology.

I am happy that today Govt. Printing Press under Commerce and Transport Dept. is introducing e-Gazette system which would change the conventional method of publication of Odisha Gazette to eco-friendly, paperless and through electronic mode, making the process more convenient and transparent to both citizens as well as indenting Departments.
I am happy that such efforts are being taken by the State Government to ensure citizens get Govt. services without having to visit a Govt. office. This is the essence of our 5T mission. The citizen is the owner of the Govt. and he or she must remain at the focal point of all our programmes.
I congratulate Commerce & Transport Dept. and specifically the Govt. Printing Press on this occasion. Let us continue our concerted efforts for building a citizen centric Government.
